TEXAS, Fayette County (1835-1867)

This isn't my page, but slave transactions for Fayette County, Texas are posted on http://fayettecountyhistory.org/slave_transactions.htm. Dates range from 1835 to 1867, so from when Texas was still part of Mexico, through independence and annexation by the United States, to post-Emancipation. The items for the later years are for apprenticeships/binding out or list former owners. The entries don't seem to be in alphabetical or chronological order, unfortunately.
