Hi there, came across a will just now which named two enslaved persons: Sancho, and Peter. Peter was not yet thirty years of age by the time of the writing of the will. The will was of George Nixon, and I found it in the Virginia, U.S. Wills and Probate Records, 1652-1900, on Ancestry.com, image 133. Sancho and Peter are mentioned on image 135. The will was written in Loudoun County, Virginia, on 24 July 1797. The citation reads :Will Books, Vol F-H, 1797-1809. The images were taken from Book F, pgs 221-225.
