Negro Maria about 27 yrs. old & her four children Israel, Martha, Stephen & Jacob

Premises. Five negro slaves Viz: Maria about 27 yrs. old & her four children Israel, Martha, Stephen & Jacob. Whereas, said Forrest & wife Elizabeth were defendants in a suit in Circuit Court of Jefferson Co. in which a verdict was rendered against them & Holmes
& John D. & Madison B. Robinson had become security on an appeal bond to the Supreme Court. This mortgage is made to indemnify said securities from loss. Wit: H. Morrow Jr. Dated Jan. 6, 1836. Joint ack. before Hugh Morrow, Jr. Clk. of Circuit Court
